TRTMC Meeting #81

On Saturday, April 4th, we held our 81tst Tokyo Rainbow Toastmasters club meeting — and our 2nd online meeting!
Our Toastmaster of the Evening, T conducted the meeting tactfully in English and Japanese.
Word of the Evening: C introduced a phrase “discovered that xx was good” which reflected our effort to stay positive even under the outbreak of pandemic.
We had Induction ceremony for C which was our first online induction ceremony. Everyone welcomed her warm applause even through the computer screen.
It was soon time for our Rainbow Moment of the Week session, presented by A.
As a strong communicator, he started off the session with sharing his own experiences first.
LGBT lecture, this evening presented by Toastmaster G followed that. She shared practical and creative tips with us to enjoy online meetings more. That inspired us to explore more possibilities of public speaking online.
We had three English speakers, presented by Toastmasters A, T and AN. All of them gave stellar speeches.
Our TableTopics section was presented by Toastmaster T on the topic of ‘Remote-working’ It was a relevant topic for everyone at this time. It was amazing how he chose right person for right topic.
In Evaluation session, all of three evaluators presented constructive and supportive evaluations.
We concluded the meeting wishing safety and peace to one another.
