第92回例会
92nd regular meeting
ようやく暑さがやわらぎ、朝晩は涼しくなってきましたね。第92回の例会はゲスト1名を迎えオンラインで開催されました。
The heat has finally softened and it's getting cooler in the morning and evening. The 92nd regular meeting was held online with one guest.
今回の司会はAさん。終始落ち着いていて、オンラインでも聞き取りやすい口調で会を進行してくれました。
The moderator this time was A. She was calm from beginning to end and proceeded with the meeting in a tone that was easy to hear online.
「今日の言葉」としてHさんが選んでくれたのは「選択-Choice」。アメリカ大統領選も控え、とてもタイムリーな言葉を選んでくれました。5分間レクチャーではCさんが、南アフリカでの同性婚合法化の動きについて、コンパクトながらとてもわかりやすい説明をしてくれました。アパルトヘイトのイメージが強い南アフリカですが、アパルトヘイトの撤廃以降、ダイバーシティを受け入れる社会づくりにむけて非常にドラスティックに動いてきたということがよくわかりました。日本はまだまだ、世界の動きに遅れをとっているようです。

South Africa has a strong image of apartheid, but it is clear that since the abolition of apartheid, it has moved very drastically toward the creation of a society that accepts diversity. Japan still seems to be lagging behind the movements of the world.
準備スピーチのセッションでは、AさんがTRTMCの新しいロゴのデザインプロセスをそのままスピーチにするという、とてもユニークな試みをしてくれたほか、Gさんは「企画立案」という難しい課題を、TRTMCの100回記念の「アニバーサリー」と絡めて、スピーチとして見事にまとめてくれました。そしてTさん。LGBTQの人たちの誰もが幼いころに抱える悩みをテーマに、「ジャンプ」というキーワードや様々なエピソードを効果的に織り交ぜながら、今回の課題である「聴衆を奮い立たせる」ことに成功しました。オンラインの小さな画面でもエネルギーが伝わって来るアイコンタクトや効果的なボディランゲージなど、回を重ねるごとに自信が増してきていることがよくわかりました。

後半のテーブルトピックのテーマとしてCさんが選んだのは「遊び/play」。子供の頃の遊びに思いを馳せたり、日常の「遊び心」について考えたり。それぞれが印象的なエピソードを即興で披露してくれました。
間もなく100回目の節目を迎えるTRTMC。様々な記念企画の準備も進んでいます。楽しみですね！
