第97回例会
97th meeting

Today's meeting was held only online. A-san who participated for the first time at the previous meeting, joined online this time.
今日の例会はオンラインでの実施でした。前回初参加のAさんも、今回はオンラインで参加をしてくれました。
As President G-san was absent, VPE T called the meeting order and it started. TMOE was L-san who has been a member of TMC long time, L-san proceeded smoothly with using both English and Japanese properly. And today's word of the evening was "passion" that Y-san proposed. This word seemed to be easy to incorporate into the story, so many people could use this.
急遽会長のGさんが欠席となったため、副会長のTが開会を宣言し、例会がスタートしました。TMOEはTMC歴の長いLさんで、英語と日本語を両方使い分けながら、スムーズに進行して頂きました。
今日の言葉はYさんが決めてくれた「情熱」。話に取り入れやすいワードとして、多くの人が使ってくれました。
At the LGBTQ lecture, M-san talked about an "adoption system". Many members were interested in this topics, but we rarely have an opportunity to hear. By M-san’s lecture, we were very encouraged and could recognize that a new path has been opened up even for minorities.
LGBTQレクチャーでは、Mさんが「養子縁組制度」について話をしてくれました。普段なかなか触れることのない、でも多くの人が関心を持っているトピックスをわかりやすく説明して頂き、新しい道が切り開かれる話に私たち自身もとても勇気づけられました。
In prepared speeches, C-san talked about what C-san learned from the failure of their project. The structure of speech was well organized and could convey the expectations, conflicts, and feelings through their experiences. In H-san’s speech, he introduced the half-life of a gay person who was active in China in a tough time for LGBTQ people. Currently the values of society have already changed compared to those days, but we would learn many things from the past.
準備スピーチでは、Cさんが自身のプロジェクトの失敗から学んだことについて、話をしてくれました。話の構造がとてもわかりやすく、期待、葛藤、そこからの学びを得たCさんの気持ちがとてもよく伝わりました。Hさんのスピーチでは、まだLGBTQに対する風当たりの強い時代の中国で活躍したゲイの方の半生を紹介してくれました。当時と今を比べると社会の価値観も変わっていますが、過去から学ぶことはまだ多いように思います。
In the table topics, C-san prepared some questions about “Gratitude”, and everyone answered their thoughts. Among the answers, M-san’s impromptu speech “I directly show gratitude to my child to teach the importance of gratitude”, really attracted and inspired us. M-san’s speech won the Best Table Topics Award.
テーブルトピックスでは、Cさんが用意した「感謝」に関する質問に、それぞれの思いを答えました。中でも、Mさんの「感謝の大切さを教えるためには、自分が子供に直接感謝を示す」と言う回答には多くの共感が集まり、Mさんのスピーチがベストテーブルトピックス賞となりました。
Finally, the meeting proceeded on time and was completed thanks to everyone's cooperation.
Next is the last meeting of the year. It’s still a tough time by COVID-19, but we hope all of you stay healthy and safe and we look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!
みんなで協力しながら進めることができたおかげで、時間通りに例会は進み、無事終えることができました。
次回は今年最後の例会です。まだまだコロナで大変な時期が続いていますが、体調にはお気をつけください。次回の例会でお会いできるのを楽しみにしています！
