107th meeting

日本では緊急事態宣言が延長される中、今日もオンラインでの開催になりました。ゲストとしてTさんが２回目の参加をしてくれました。
本日のTMOEはLさん。いつもよりも参加者がやや少なくスピーチも今日は２つだけだったので、丁寧に時間をかけ、途中途中にコメントを入れたり、感想を加えたりすることで、会を盛り上げてくれました。また、日本語英語の両方で説明を加えて頂いたことも、素晴らしい気配りでした。
今日の言葉はALさんが選んでくれた”有頂天”。最近良いことのあったALさんの気持ちを表したこの言葉を、多くの人が使ってくれました。
TRTMC独自のコーナー「レインボーモーメントオブザウィーク」では、ほぼ全員が話すことができ、最近身近にあった様々なLGBTQに関するエピソードや、印象的な出来事を紹介してくれました。オーガナイザーのTSさんは、みんなのコメントを英語⇔日本語で翻訳してくださり、参加者全員が発言を理解することが出来ました。
スピーチでは久々に参加のKさんが、初めて会った人との会話の中で起きた驚きのエピソードを、リアルな会話を交えて紹介。英語ネイティブのKさんですが、ゆっくりと丁寧にスピーチで、非ネイティブのメンバーにもとても分かりやすく伝わったと思います。もう1人のスピーカーであるAさんは、前回フィードバックを受けアップデートした内容で、さらに伝わりやすく内容の濃いスピーチをしてくれました。
テーブルトピックスでは、発表者がスピーチしている間に、その次の発表者が内容を考えておくという新しいスタイルの進め方をテーブルトピックマスターのTNさんが、提案してくれました。「大切にしているもの」に関するエピソードについて、みなさん感動的なスピーチをしてくれました。
論評セッションでは、スピーチ論評を担当したDさん、Kさん、あーカウンターのGさんや文法係を担当してくれたYさんが、スピーチをした人だけでなく、会の参加者みんなにとって気づきがあるフィードバックをしてくれました。こんな風にお互いにフィードバックし合うことで、会全体のレベルが上がっていくといいですね。
次回5月５週目は、特別企画のオンラインお茶会の予定です。体調には気をつけて、引き続き頑張っていきましょう！

As the state of emergency has been extended in Japan, the meeting was held online. And we welcomed TR-san again as a guest.
The number of participants was a little smaller than usual and we had only two speeches, however TMOE L-san properly provided comments and feedback more often than usual to engage the members. Furthermore, he used both Japanese and English to explain everything, it was so helpful.
Today’s word of the evening was “Ecstatic” which AL-san selected. Recently AL-san seemed to have an ecstatic experience, so many members enjoyed to use this brilliant word in the meeting.
In TRTMC's unique session, "Rainbow Moment of the Week," we were so happy to hear several LGBTQ episodes and impressive events in the past 2 weeks by members. TS-san lead this session and translated everyone's comments into Japanese/English on the chat room, all the participants were able to understand the comments thanks to his efforts.
In the speech, K-san, who participated in the speech since long time, introduced an unexpected episode that occurred in a conversation with a person she met for the first time. She is English native, but the pace and tone of speech was comfortable for the audience and it was easy to understand for non-native English speakers. Another speaker, A-san, gave a great speech that was updated by the improvement from the previous speech.
In Table Topics, Table Topic Master TN-san proposed a new challenging flow which the next presenter was thinking the content while the current presenter was giving a speech. This time, 4 members gave a moving speech about "what I value".
At the Evaluation session, Evaluator D-san and KM-san, Ah-counter G-san and Grammarian KM-san provided educational and inforamtive feedback to not only speakers but also every audience. I really hope that this club could grow up by keep going to give feedback each other..
