第116回例会
116th meeting

東京は台風一過の晴れとなり、緊急事態宣言も解除された後、最初の例会でした。（まだオンライン開催ですが）今日は３名のゲストの方を迎えました。ゲストの方も積極的に発言などしてくださり、会がとても盛り上がりました。今夜の言葉は「Comfort（楽をする）」。「快適に過ごす」「楽をしないように」など、様々な使い方ができる良い言葉でした。スピーチはKさんとAさんが行いました。Kさんは、どんな時も自分の意見をみんなの前でいう大切さについて、スピーチしてくれました。困難だったり、進路に迷った時こそ、「自分の意見を持つ、そしてそれを伝える」というのは重要だと思います。そしてAさんは、漫画を通じて、子供たちにLGBTQがどのように伝えられているか、現状と課題についてシェアをしてくれました。とても有意義な内容でした。テーブルトピックスでは、Lさんが、興味深い、でも少し答えるのが難しい質問も考えてくれました。回答した方も、悩みながらも素敵な回答をしてくれました。論評では、UさんとToさんが、いつも通り、スピーカーだけでなく、聴衆みんなの役に立つような、フィードバックをしてくれました。スピーチをする時、最初の頃は良い点のフィードバックをもらうととても嬉しいのですが、だんだんと改善点を指摘される方が有意義だと思うようになってきます。UさんもTさんも、スピーカーのレベルがさらにアップすることをサポートする、良い論評でした。最後に、今日のTMOEは初挑戦のTiさんでした。でも初めてとは思えないほどスムーズで、時々みんなを盛り上げるようなコメントも加え、アクティブな場づくりをしてくれました。Tiさんのリードで、とても活気のある回になったと思います。ゲストの方が「ぜひ次回も来たい」と言ってくださったのが、とても嬉しいです。これからも楽しい会を作っていきたいですね。
It was the meeting just after the typhoon had passed through Japan and the
state of the emergency declaration had been finished. (But we have still an online
meeting…)We welcomed three guests, and the meeting was very fascinating by the
guest joining actively. The word of the evening was “Comfort”. It was a good
word that can be used in various ways such as “to be comfortable” or “we should
stay without comfort. (We should challenge!) The speeches were given by
K-san and A-san. K-san gave a speech about the importance of expressing one’s
opinion at any time. I agree that it’s important to have your own opinion and
to express it when you are facing difficulties or confused about your life.
A-san shared about the current status and some issues of how LGBTQ is being
communicated to children through Manga. It was very meaningful for us. For the table topics session, L-san came up with some interesting, but a little
difficult to answer questions. Nevertheless, every respondent gave a wonderful
answer. And as usual, U-san and To-san gave supportive feedback not only to the
speakers but also to all of the audience. I’m sure that every feedback helps to
improve our skills for a presentation. Lastly, today’s TMOE Ti-san, who took the
responsibility for the first time, did an amazing job. Every item of the agenda
went smoothly and it was so “comfortable” for us. I was very happy to hear that
the guests said they would like to come again next time. I hope we could
continue to have an exciting meeting in the future. Thank you for joining today!
