第119回例会報告
今日の例会は、会員11名とゲスト３名の参加でスタートし、その内のお一人Oさんを新しいメンバーとして迎える入会式が最初にありました。Oさん入会おめでとうございます！ これから一緒にスピーチの向上に取り組みましょう！
Oさんは早速「今日の言葉」を担当してくれました。積極的に役割にも取り組んでいただいてありがとうございます。本日の言葉は「機会」でした。
今日の例会のTMOEはLさんです。安定した司会進行に加え、今日は計時係、5分間LGBTQ+講義まで3役をこなしてくれました。実はこの日は出席予定者のスケジュール変更などで、直前にいつくか役割変更が発生したのですが、Lさんを中心に会員の皆さんが臨機応変に、且つお互い協力しながら対応してくれました。感謝です。
東京レインボーTMCのオリジナルセッションである「レインボーモーメント」はAさんの進行でした。その後「5分間LGBTQ講座」はLさんで「数学で運命の相手を探そう」でした。
◆準備スピーチ
最初のセッションはトーストマスターズのメインである準備スピーチです。本日は、３人の方が挑戦しました。一人目のKさんはネットワーキングにまつわるお話を、二人目のGさんは普段例会で使用しているシステムについて、皆の実用的な役にも立つ内容でした。3人目のYuさんのスピーチはご自身が描いた絵を題材に、幼いころから現在までの心象をたどる印象的なスピーチでした。
◆テーブル・トピックス
休憩の後は、即興スピーチであるテーブル・トピックスです。Taさんが選んだのは「国際男性デー（11月19日）」にちなんだお題設定で、4人の方が挑戦しました。自分が感じる男らしさ、女らしさと社会が求める男らしさ、女らしさについて考えるきっかけになりました。
◆論評
準備スピーチに対して毎回論評が行われます。論評を通じて、スピーカーは適切なフィードバックを得ることができます。
今回は3名のスピーカーに対して、Toさん、Cjさん、Tiさんが各々論評を行いました。Toさんはベテランの安定した論評で、話し方のテクニックだけではなくテーマをより良く伝える構成などにも及んだ論評でした。CjさんTiさんの論評もスピーカーが今後の向上を図るのに役立つフィードバックでしたが、どの論評もポジティブなトーンで行われているのがとても良かったです。更に総合論評はこの役割に初挑戦のYoさん。とても緊張したそうですが、新しい役割に取り組むのはいつでも挑戦ですが、失敗や試行錯誤も含めて成長していけるもの。「安全に失敗できる環境」なのがTMCの良い所ですね。
さて最後のハイライトはお待ちかねの最優秀賞の発表です。
最優秀テーブルトピック賞はYuさん、最優秀論評賞はToさん、そして最優秀スピーチ賞はKさんでした。皆さん、おめでとうございます！
東京レインボートーストマスターズクラブは“LGBTQ+とAllyのためのスピーチクラブ”です。
毎月第1、第3土曜日の18時～20時に例会を行っていて、セクシュアリティや年齢、国籍などさまざまなメンバーが集まっています。一般の話し方教室などとは違って先生はおらず、それぞれの役割を務める中で自然とスピーチスキルやリーダーシップスキルが身についていきます。

Regular Meeting Report
Today's
meeting started with 11 members and 3 guests, and the first thing we did was to
welcome one of them, O-san, as a new member. Let's work together to improve our
speech skills!
O
immediately took charge of the "Word of the Evening". Thank you for
taking an active role in this event. Today's word was "opportunity".
The
TMOE for today's meeting was L-san. In addition to being a steady moderator, they
also served as timekeeper and gave a 5-minute LGBTQ+ lecture. Actually, there
were some last-minute changes in roles due to changes in the schedules of those
scheduled to attend the meeting, but L-san and the rest of the members worked
flexibly and cooperatively with each other. Thank you very much.
The
Tokyo Rainbow TMC's original session, "Rainbow Moment," was
facilitated by A-san. After that, the "5-minute LGBTQ lecture" was
given by L-san, and it was called "Let's find our destiny through
mathematics.
Preparatory
Speeches
The first session was the main part of Toastmasters, the preparatory
speeches. Today, three people took up the challenge. The first speaker, K-san,
talked about networking, the second speaker, G-san, talked about the system we
usually uses in our meetings, which was very practical and useful for everyone,
and the third speaker, Yu-san, gave an impressive speech using their own
drawings as the subject, tracing their mental image from their childhood to the
present.
Table
Topics
After the break, we had an impromptu speech called "Table
Topics," in which Ta-san chose a topic related to the International Men's
Day (November 19), and four participants tried their hand at it. It was a good
opportunity for the participants to think about their own perceptions of
masculinity and femininity, and what society requires of masculinity and
femininity.
Evaluation
Each time the prepared speeches were reviewed. Through the evaluation
session, the speakers can get appropriate feedback.
This
time, To-san, C-san, and Ti-san gave evaluation to the three speakers, and
To-san's evaluation was very stable, covering not only speaking techniques but
also the structure of the speech to better convey the theme. C and Ti's
comments were also useful feedback for the speakers to improve in the future,
and it was great to see that all the comments were given in a positive tone.
Furthermore, Yo-san was the first to take on the role of general evaluator. She
said she was very nervous, but it is always a challenge to tackle a new role,
but you can grow through failure and trial and error. The good thing about TMC
is that it is an environment where you can fail safely.
The
final highlight of the day was the announcement of the Grand Prize.
The
best table topic award went to Yu-san, the best evaluator award went to To-san,
and the best speech award went to K-san. Congratulations to all!
The
Tokyo Rainbow Toastmasters Club is a "speech club for LGBTQ+ and
Ally".
We
meet on the first and third Saturday of every month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. We
have members of all sexualities, ages, and nationalities. Unlike other speaking
classes, there is no teacher, and members naturally acquire speech and
leadership skills as they take on their respective roles.
