【第125回例会】2022年03月05日（土）
３月最初の例会は、久しぶりのハイブリッド形式での開催。会場に集まったメンバーと、世界各地のメンバー（一番遠いメンバーはなんと南アフリカから！）が、Zoomを通してつながり、楽しい会となりました。
フィジカルな運営が久々だったにもかかわらず、熟練メンバーYさんの司会の下、レインボーモーメント、5分LGBTQレクチャー、準備スピーチ、テーブルトピック、スピーチ論評、と順調に進みました。
５分間LGBTQレクチャーは、Gさんによる中国のBL番組「陳情令」の紹介。陳情令愛溢れる「布教活動」を受け、みんなBL沼に片足を突っ込むはめに。
そして、例会の一番の盛り上がりはやはり準備スピーチ。今日は、Gさん、Dさん、Aさんの3名が披露しました。Ｇさんは、「アカデミー賞受賞スピーチ」の練習。堂々と立派で、もういつでもアカデミー賞を受賞できる準備が整いました！そして、ＤさんとＡさんは、メンターについてスピーチをしました。Dさんは、大学生時代に、父の死後につらく壊れそうになった時に、自分を支え、救い出してくれたメンターG氏との関係について、説明してくれました。Aさんも、トランスジェンダーで苦しみ生きるので精いっぱいだった経験を踏まえて、トランスジェンダーの若者に対し、足元の自分だけを見て苦しむのではなく、目標に向かって頑張れるように、そういう機会を作ってあげられるメンターになりたくて、経営大学院で学んでいる、というスピーチをしてくれました。これらのスピーチを通して、自分は、「人生、自分ではどうしようもない理由で辛く悩むこともある。でも、どん底に落ちたとしても、誰かに支えてもらい、夢や希望を持つことで、また前に進める。誰もがそういうメンターを欲しいし、自分も誰かにとってのメンターになって苦しんでいる後進を助けたい。」という、あたたかいメッセージを受け取った気がしました。
最後、テーブルトピックのセッションでは、Tさんの司会の下、「sustainability」をテーマに、即興スピーチが行われました。固いテーマながらも、足元のウクライナ情勢を見ていると、「昨日と同じ明日が来ることがいかに重要か」を痛感しました。ロシアによるウクライナ侵攻が一刻も早く終結することを願います。

The first meeting in March was held in a
hybrid format – for the first time in a while. The members who gathered at the
venue and the members from all over the world (the farthest member joined from
South Africa!) were connected through Zoom, which turned out to be fun!
While we haven’t had the physical operation
for long, the meeting, emceed by our seasoned member Y, proceeded smoothly,
from the rainbow moment, 5-minute LGBTQ lecture, prepared speech, table topic
speech to speech evaluation.
The 5-minute LGBTQ lecture by G featured
the Chinese BL program "The Untamed". Thanks to G’s passionate “missionary
activity”, the audience was drawn into the BL swamp.
The most exciting part of the meeting was
the prepared speech session. Today, G, D, and A delivered the speeches. G
practiced "Academy Award winning speech", which was done
magnificently. She is now well-prepared to win an Academy Award at any time!
Meanwhile, D and A spoke about “mentor”. D
explained his relationship with G, who supported him and mentally bailed him
out when they was in college and was about to break after his father's death. A
shared that they is now studying at a graduate school of business because they
wanted to be a mentor to young transgender people. Based on his own past suffering
experience to live as transgender, they wants to create opportunities for young
transgender people to work on something toward goals rather than just lamenting
for who they are. Through these speeches, I believe we received an encouraging underlying
message - "In life, we may at times suffer and fall into the doldrum for
the reasons we cannot control. However, supported by someone and having a dream
and hope, we can move forward. Everyone wants to have such a mentor, and we also
want to be such mentor to help the suffering younger generation."
Finally, today’s table topic session, led
by the table topic master T, was conducted under the theme of
"sustainability". Though it was a hard topic, we thought it was
timely and important given that, looking at what is happening in Ukraine, how
precious it is to have a tomorrow just the same as yesterday. We keep our
fingers crossed that Russia's invasion of Ukraine will end as soon as possible.
