第126回例会の総評をお届けします。
まず、私の大好きなスピリチュアル・ティーチャーであり作家でもあるエックハルト・トイルの美しい言葉を紹介しました。「善人になろうとすることによって善人になるのではなく、自分の中にある善を見つけ、その善が現れるようにすることによって善人になるのです。しかし、それはあなたの意識の状態に何か根本的な変化があった場合にのみ現れることができます。」
とても力強い言葉です。私は偶然、「新しい地球」という本を見つけ、今まだ読んでいます。
この日のトーストマスターズのYさんは、何役もこなしながら、きめ細かく対応してくれました。英語と日本語の両方で役を演じてくれました。Lgbtq+Lectureの中で、日本の児童養護施設に関する非常に重要な問題を伝えてくれたことは、私たちにとって大きな学びとなりました。私はもっと知りたいと思いましたし、私の知り合いの外国人の友人も同じように興味を持っていました。とても有益で、詳細な情報でした。
ゲストのSさんが参加してくださり、「今週のレインボーモーメント」や「テーブルトピック」の会話に参加してくださいました。初対面にもかかわらず、堂々と話している姿に感心しました。
そして、新しくトーストマスターになったFさんを温かく迎え入れました。Ice Breaker Speechを聞くのが楽しみです。
新入会員の入会式では、いつも時間に遅れていることに気がつきました。そこで私は、この新メンバー歓迎会では、5～10分ほど早く始めるように計画してはどうかと提案しました。このようなことはあまりないので、手順を忘れてしまいがちなのです。
今夜の言葉： トーストマスターズKさんより、「繋がり」という言葉をいただきました。この言葉は、スピーチの中でとても使いやすい言葉です。
Aさん、Gさん、お二人とも素晴らしいスピーチを披露してくださいました。Aさんは英語でのスピーチに挑戦された勇気とチャレンジ精神に拍手を送り、Gさんはいつも雄弁なスピーチで私たちを感動させてくれます。お二人の素晴らしいスピーチを祝福します。
一人目の評価者であるトーストマスターズYさんのコメントも秀逸でした。Gさんのスピーチに対するフィードバックがとてもよかったです。Yさんの話し方、分析、考えの明確さはとても貴重だと思います。とてもよくできていて、素晴らしい仕事だと思います。
2人目の評価者はトーストマスターズDさん。Aさん、初めての英語スピーチに対する素晴らしいコメントに感謝します。素晴らしい分析で、とても分かりやすかったです。彼らの評価には、温かみを感じました。英語の話し方のアドバイスなど、とても大切な気づきがあり、今後のAさんの英語スピーチがより良いものになることでしょう。
Table Topic MasterのLさん、この日は一人二役でした。テーブルトピックの時間には、ライフスタイルに関するトピックなど、とても魅力的な質問ばかり。各スピーカーにお礼を言い、その答えに対してポジティブなコメントをする姿はとても素敵でした。
文法担当のKさん、Tさんには、Ah CounterとTimerの2役をしていただき、ありがとうございました。二人とも素晴らしい仕事をし、バイリンガルでしてくれました。
トーストマスターズUさんが、今週のレインボーモーメントを担当しました。英語での始まり部分は素晴らしかったです。
全体として、皆さんそれぞれの役割で素晴らしい働きをしてくれました。最後に、私たちのストーリーは重要であり、ミーティングで共有したストーリーを周りの人たちにも伝えていくことが大切です。これは、私たち全員が練習し、発言するために必要な自信をつけ、私たちのコミュニティの代弁者となるための素晴らしい機会だと、私はいつも思っています。（ティファニー）
Here's my General Evaluation on our 126th Meeting.
I started by sharing this beautiful quote
by one of my favourite spiritual teacher and author Eckhart Toille, “You do not
become good by trying to be good, but by finding the goodness within you, and
allowing that goodness to emerge. But it can only emerge if something
fundamental changes in your state of consciousness.”
Very powerful quote I stumbled upon the
book which I’m still reading now called A New Earth.
Y-san, our Toastmasters of the evening, meticulously delivered even when they had a couple of roles. They delivered the roles in both English and Japanese. Their other role of delivering us a very important issue about foster care for children here in Japan during the Lgbtq+Lecture was a great learning for all of us. The fact that I was interested to know more about it and some foreign friends I know as well. Very informative and well detailed information!
We had our guest S-san, joined us and she participated in our conversations during Rainbow Moment of the Week and Table Topics conversations. Even if they are new to the club, I really adored their confidence in speaking to all of us with their authenticity.
Then I sent my warmth welcome to our newly enrolled Toastmaster F-san! I’m looking forward to hearing their Ice Breaker Speech!
For the induction of new members, I noticed that we are always behind on time. I suggested an idea, maybe during this welcoming of new members, we can come plan on starting a bit early like 5-10min. Then we can remind ourselves and do some briefing as I feel like this doesn’t happen a lot so we tend to forget with the procedures.
Word of the Evening, Toastmasters K-san、provided us the word 繋がり or connect/connection. It is a great choice which is very easy to use on our speeches.
We had two wonderful speakers Toastmasters A-san and G-san、 who both shared us wonderful speeches. I applaud A-san、for the bravery and challenging to do a speech in English while G-san、 always inspires us their eloquent delivery of their speeches. I congratulated them both on their well-presented speeches!
The first evaluator Toastmasters Y-san、had a well put comments. I love the feedback that he gave on G-san、speech. I think Y-san’s delivery, analysis and clarity of their
thoughts are very valuable. Very much well done and a fantastic job!
The second evaluator of that evening was Toastmasters D. I thanked them for their brilliant comments towards A-san、first English speech. Great analysis and so much clarity. I felt the warmth in their evaluation. I’m sure all their advices in speaking English and other very important insights will improve A-san、English speeches in the future.
Table Topic Master, L-san、who also did a double role on that evening. During the Table Topics session, all their questions are very fascinating and topics about lifestyle. I love the way he thanked each speaker and gave their positive comments on their answers.
I'm grateful to our grammarian K-san、and T-san、for doing double roles of Ah Counter and Timer. Both did a fantastic job and for doing in bilingual.
Toastmasters U-san、hosted our Rainbow Moment of the Week. The English intro was great!
Overall, everyone did a fantastic job on their specific roles! I finished my evaluation with the message to fellow toastmasters ~ “Our stories matter…and its very critical to share, and educate everyone around us all this stories that we also shared in our meetings. I always think that this is a great opportunity for all of us to practice and build that confidence we need to speak up and be a voice for our community.”
