夏真っ盛りの８月２０日。神宮外苑では花火大会が開かれる中、第136回の例会がオンラインで開催されました。
ダイバーシティを感じた経験をシェアする、恒例のレインボー・セッションに引き続き、2本の準備スピーチがありました。
Tさんはインタビューの課題に対し、トークショーというユニークな形式のスピーチで聴衆を楽しませてくれました。
Cさんは日本語でのチャレンジ。内面的な葛藤の話を、自分自身の中の会話、という形でまとめていたのが印象的でした。
後半には即興スピーチのテーブルトピックセッションです。担当はGさん。Anniversaryがテーマで、記念日にまつわる各メンバーの様々なエピソードを聞くことができました。特にKさんは、自身の海外体験を通じて感じた独自の「記念日」のエピソードを披露し、ほかのメンバーに感銘を与えました。
論評の部では、Dさん、Tさんから各々の準備スピーチに対する論評が行われ、スピーチの向上に向けた、実用的なアドバイスが提供されました。
Yさんの総合論評(GE)に引き続き、最後に本日の受賞者発表。準備スピーチはTさん、そしてテービルトピックスは、Kさんが受賞されました。おめでとうございました。
夏ももう少しで終わりですね。次回も楽しい例会になりますように。
On August 20th, The 136th regular meeting was held online while the fireworks festival was held at Jingu Gaien.
After the rainbow session, where participants shared their experiences of diversity, we had two prepared speeches. T entertained the audience with her speech in a unique style of talk show. C's speech was a challenge in Japanese. The audience were impressed by how C's summarized the story of them inner conflict in the form of a conversation within themself.
The second half was a table topic session for impromptu speeches. G was in charge. The theme was "Anniversary", and we were able to hear various episodes from each member related to the anniversary. In particular, K impressed the other members by presenting a unique episode of "Anniversary" that he felt through his own overseas experiences.
In the evaluation section, D and T commented on prepared speeches and provided practical advice for improving their speeches.
After the Y's General Evaluation, at the end of the meeting, the winners were announced. T won the prepared speech, and K won the Table Topics. Congratulations!
Summer is almost over. I hope the next meeting will be a fun one.
