9月に入り、徐々に朝晩は暑さが和らいできました。 今日はハイブリッド例会、いつもと違う世田谷の素晴らしい会場を、会場係のSさんが準備してくれました。多くのメンバーが会場に来てくれて、感染対策を行いつつ活気ある例会となりました。
今日のTMOEはCさんでした。約1年ぶりの担当でしたが、英語も日本語も両方使いながら、とてもスムーズな進行でした。今夜の言葉はTiさんが選んでくれた「Momentum」。「勢いのある」というニュアンスで日本語にするのが少し難しい単語でしたが、皆さん英語日本語両方の中に、巧みに取り入れてくれました。当クラブオリジナルセッションであるレインボーモーメントでは、本日無事入会式を終えたEさんが司会を務めてくれました。やや緊張されていましたが、きちんとトップバッターを務めてくれました。５分間レクチャーは、Uさんが「日本各地のプライドパレード」の紹介をしてくれました。東京以外でも本当に多くの場所でパレードが行われていることを知り、とても誇らしく、Momentumを感じます。準備スピーチでは、Kiさんが近年人気の「アマビエ」に関する話題を、アイスブレークに挑戦したKoさんは自身の専門やキャリア、このクラブに入ったきっかけを紹介してくれました。Gさんは、今クラブ役員会で検討中の会員規則に関する内容を、連絡事項の代わりにスピーチとして、みんなに共有してくれました。スピーチにするとみんなじっくり聞くことができますし、とても効果的だったと思います。テーブルトピックスは、Tiさんがいつもと違うエンターテイメント感満載の進行で、ティアラを使った演出で盛り上がり、みんなを楽しませてくれました。 スピーチ論評では、皆さん的確なフィードバックをしてくれて、特にFさんは初めての論評担当だったにも関わらず、非常にプロフェッショナルな指摘が多く、みんなを驚かせていました。初めての会場ということもあり、少し準備に時間がかかり、終了時刻も少し伸びてしまいましたが、メンバー間でサポートしながら無事終了しました。これからもこのMomentumを維持しながら、クラブの活動を続けていきたいですね。T
It’s been getting a little cooler and more pleasant in Tokyo since we entered September. Today we had a hybrid meeting, our sergeant-at-arms, S-san, found a wonderful venue in Setagaya, which was different from the usual. Many members came to the venue and we had an exciting meeting while taking measures against infection.Today’s TMOE was C-san, it has been around one year since the last time, but C-san ran the meeting very smoothly, using both English and Japanese.The word of the evening was “Momentum” chosen by Ti-san. The word might be a little difficult to translate into Japanese with its nuance of “energy/impulse”, but everyone successfully incorporated it into both English and Japanese.In our club’s original session, for Rainbow Moment, E-san who was welcomed by the induction ceremony today served as the MC. For the 5-minute lecture, U-san introduced “Pride Parades in Japan”. I was very proud to know that parades are held in so many places even outside of Tokyo, and I feel the “momentum”.In the prepared speeches, Ki-san talked about “Amabie”, which has become popular in recent years, and Ko-san provided an ice-breaker introducing his specialty, career, and the reason why he joined this club. And G-san gave a speech instead of a business announcement about the membership rules that are currently being discussed by the club officers. I think it was an effective idea to convey what we should share with members.For the table topics, Ti facilitated in an entertaining way using a tiara. In the speech evaluation, every evaluator gave valuable feedback, especially F-san amazingly looked very professional remarks even though it was his first time being in charge of this role.It took a little time to prepare at the beginning since it was the first time using this venue, so the closing time was a little extended, but thanks to the cooperation of all members, the meeting successfully adjourned.I hope the club will continue to maintain this Momentum in the future.Written by T
