朝晩はぐっと涼しさを感じるようになってきた今日この頃、東京レインボートーストマスターズクラブ（ＴＲＴＭＣ）の第138回例会がオンライン形式で開催されました。出席メンバーは11名、ゲストが1名でした。
今回のＴＭＯＥ（司会）は初挑戦のＫさん。初めてとは思えない堂々とした進行で、安定した素晴らしい采配を見せてくれました。
今夜の言葉は、こちらも初挑戦のＫｏさん。「illuminating / 明らかにする」という言葉を紹介してくれました。複数のメンバーがスピーチの中に取り入れており、バッチリの選択でした♪
計時係のＹさん、集計係のＧさん、そしてえーとカウンターと文法係、今週のレインボーな瞬間、というトリプルロール（！）をさらりとこなしたＬさん、みなさん安心、安定の進行でした。
今回の5分間ＬＧＢＴＱ＋講義はベテラン、Ｔａさん。自身の「推し活」のエピソードから、推し活がどんなに生活に潤いをもたらす尊い行為かをユーモアたっぷりに講義してくれて、ＴＲＴＭＣが笑いと胸キュンにつつまれた、あたたか～い空間に染まったのでした！！
そのあとは、例会のメイン、準備スピーチのコーナーです。1番目のスピーカーのUさんはおもちゃという切り口から多様性をひもとく内容でした。古いロボット人形のCMや、バービーやケンの動画なども交えた楽しく学べるスピーチでした。
続く2番目のスピーカーのEさんは今回が初めてのスピーチであるアイスブレイクスピーチでした！複数のルーツを持つ自身の生い立ちとそこから来る経験をもとに、アイデンティティについて現在の考え方を持つに至った道のりをシェアしてくれました。
準備スピーチの後は、テーブルトピックススピーチのコーナーです。「テーブルトピックスマスター」が出すお題に沿って、短い時間で即興スピーチを考える…という、アタマと精神力を鍛えられるこのコーナー。今回のテーブルトピックスマスターはベテランのToさんで、テーマは「夏の思い出」…キュンとしますね。様々な切り口から出されるお題に対して、Koさん、Yさん、Lさん、ゲストのSaさん、Gさん、Taさんがそれぞれ当意即妙なミニスピーチを披露してくれました！！
さて、例会の最後はもう一つのメイン、論評のコーナーです。どんなに素晴らしいスピーチでも、言いっ放しではなかなか成長できません。上達のためには、そう！適切なフィードバックが欠かせないのです。今回の総合論評のGさんが例会を総括し、論評者のSuさんがUさんの論評を、KiさんがEさんの論評をそれぞれ担当しました。特にSuさんは初めての論評ということもあり緊張した様子でしたが、Uさんのスピーチの良かった点や改善点などを的確に伝え、スピーカーのためになる素晴らしい論評を行ってくれました。

As the mornings and evenings
are getting cooler, the 138th meeting of the Tokyo Rainbow Toastmasters Club
(TRTMC) was held in an online format. There were 11 members in attendance and
one guest. The TMOE (presenter) this time was TM K, who tried
her hand at it for the first time. TM K conducted the meeting in an imposing
manner that one would not expect from a first-time TMOE, and showed excellent
and stable leadership.
Tonight's word of the evening
was TM Ko, who was also new to this challenge. He introduced the word
"illuminating." Several members incorporated it into their speeches,
and it was a perfect choice.
TM Y was timer, TM G was vote
counter, and TM L was Ah-counter, grammarian, and the rainbow moment of the
week! Everyone was at ease and the proceedings were stable.
This 5 Minute LGBTQ+ Lecture was
TM Ta. He gave a humorous lecture about his own "Oshikatsu (My fav Life)"
and how it is a precious act that enriches one's life. The TRTMC was filled
with laughter, hearts filled with joy, and a warm and fuzzy atmosphere!
After that, it was time for the
main part of the meeting, the prepared speeches. The first speaker, TM U,
looked at diversity from the perspective of toys. The speech was a fun and
informative one, with old commercials of robot dolls and videos of Barbie and
Ken.
The second speaker, TM E, gave
an ice-breaking speech, her first one! TM E shared her journey to her current
thinking about identity, based on her own upbringing with multiple roots and
the experiences that came from it.
After the speeches, there will
be a "Table Topics Speech" corner. In this corner, participants are
asked to think of an impromptu speech in a short period of time according to a
theme given by the "Table Topic Master," which exercises both the
mind and the spirit. This time, the Table Topics Master was TM To, and the
theme was "Summer Memories." TM Ko, TM Y, TM L, guests Sa, TM G, and TM Ta gave their own
impromptu mini speeches on various topics!
The last part of the meeting is
the other main part of the meeting, the evaluation section. No matter how great
your speech is, it is hard to grow if you just say it. To improve, yes! Appropriate
feedback is indispensable. This time, TM G, the general evaluator, summarized
the meeting, while evaluators TM Su and TM Ki were in charge of TM U's and TM
E's evaluations, respectively. TM Su, in particular, seemed nervous as it was
her first time to give a review, but she gave an excellent review that was
beneficial to the speakers by accurately conveying the good points and areas
for improvement in TM U's speech.
TRTMC is the only "Speech
Club for LGBTQ+ and Ally" in Japan. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of
every month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. If you want to improve your speech or
