【第159回例会】2023年8月19日（土）
8月19日(土)の例会はオンラインと会場のハイブリッドで行われました。6名のゲストを迎え、会場から11名、オンラインで3名の参加となりました。
Lさんは、「prosperous繁栄する、豊かな、裕福な」を今夜の言葉として選んでくれました。
Uさんは、5分間LGBTQ+ レクチャーで、「パスウェイズ」（トースト・マスターズの公式テキスト）について教えてくれました。今回はゲストの方が多かったのでの、トースト・マスターズで使用されているガイドブックのようなものについて多少理解してもらえる内容でした。
準備スピーチ1人目はTさん。英語でのスピーチに挑戦し、学生のときに旅先で経験したことが、自身のセクシュアリティについて考えるきっかけになったことについて話しました。
準備スピーチ2人目は、Cさん。LGBTQが登場するゲームを自身が制作し、それを展示会に出品したときのことについて、話しました。
テーブルトピックスマスターのUさんは、最高気温を連日記録した今年の猛暑もすでに「残暑」になっているので「夏の想い出」にまつわる色々なテーマで質問を投げかけて、盛り上がりました。
論評の部では、Tさん、Gさんから各々の準備スピーチに対する論評が行われ、スピーチの向上を目指したフィードバックがありました。
今回の例会は会員の参加人数が少なめだったので、複数の役割を担当した会員が4人いました。
今回の総合司会のYさんは、例会の計時係も担当しました。
Lさんは、今夜の言葉と文法係。
Uさんは、集計係とテーブルトピックマスター。
Kさんがえーっとカウンターと総合論評(GE)を担当してくれました。
総合論評(GE)では、Kさんから全体の講評があり、特に参加人数が少ない回でも、複数の役割を担当したり、ハイブリッドの会場でも会員が相互にサポートしあったりしながら例会をスムーズに進められたことについて感謝が述べられました。
例会の最後には、今回3回目のゲスト参加だったHさんより入会の意思表明があり、嬉しいニュースで会員全員が大喜びで終了しました。

The meeting on Saturday, August 19th was conducted in a hybrid format, combining both an online and on-site presence. We welcomed 6 guest attendees, with 11 individuals present at the physical venue and 3 participating online.
L chose the word of the evening as "prosperous," signifying abundance, affluence, and prosperity.
During a 5-minute LGBTQ+ lecture, U educated us about "Pathways," a topic from the official Toastmasters manual. Given the substantial number of guests this time, the lecture aimed to provide a basic understanding of materials similar to the guidebooks used in Toastmasters.
For the first prepared speech, we had T. They tackled a speech in English, sharing how an experience during their travels in their student days became a catalyst for reflecting on their own sexuality.
Next, C delivered the second prepared speech. They discussed her creation of a game featuring LGBTQ+ characters and recounted their experience exhibiting it at a trade show.
Our Table Topics Master, U, ingeniously engaged us with various themes related to "summer memories," considering that this year's record-breaking heatwaves had transitioned into the "lingering summer heat."
The evaluation segment featured feedback from T and G on each prepared speech, aiming to improve the quality of the speeches.
Given the smaller attendance this time, four members took on multiple roles. Y, the General Evaluator, also managed the timing of the meeting. L managed the word of the evening and grammar. U handled role tallying and served as the Table Topics Master. Lastly, K covered the "um" counter and the General Evaluation role.
During the General Evaluation, K shared their insights on the overall meeting, expressing gratitude for how even with fewer participants, members adeptly managed multiple roles and supported each other during the hybrid gathering.
As the meeting drew to a close, the third-time guest, H, expressed their intention to become a member, leaving all members overjoyed with this delightful news.
